Margie McCarthy serves both as a shareholder and managing partner at Renaud Cook Drury Mesaros, directing and overseeing the firm’s strategic growth initiatives while defending clients’ most demanding medical malpractice, healthcare, and product liability matters. Her legal counsel is all the more impressive when you consider her unique perspective – Margie was a practicing registered nurse prior to earning her law degree, which equips her with a much deeper understanding of her clients’ healthcare-related matters, and positions her to provide uncommon insight while litigating these cases.

Throughout her career, Margie has represented a broad swath of notable clients, including many of nation’s largest healthcare and insurance companies. Her clients have exclaimed receiving “excellent work from a super attorney” in working with Margie, who has obtained favorable defense awards, summary judgments and defense verdicts on behalf of manufacturers, nursing homes and insurers, among numerous other clients.

Margie’s courtroom skills have been noticed not only by clients, but by media as well, as Arizona Business Magazine lists her as one of Arizona’s top 100 Lawyers. A fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, Margie is a frequent author and speaker and actively involved with numerous professional organizations including the American Association of Nurse Attorneys and the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance, of which she is a former Arizona state chair.
